On May 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation for the Lachin cable car line, which is being designed and constructed by ArchiCO company in accordance with the Master Plan of Lachin city. Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev briefed the head of state on the planned works. The Lachin cable car line will be located in the Boulevard area of the city and will consist of two sections. The cable car will have a height of 300 meters and a total length of 1,720 meters, with a travel time of 6 minutes. The system, consisting of 17 cabins, will have the capacity to serve 800 passengers per hour.
