Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Founder and Head of the IDEA Public Union, attended the opening ceremony of the regional branch of the newly established Stray Animal Care Center in the city of Yevlakh. Leyla Aliyeva toured the facilities of the Center, which was designed and constructed by ArchiCO Engineering Company. During her visit, she inspected the areas designated for the admission, examination, treatment, vaccination, sterilization, and rehabilitation of stray animals. It should be noted that the primary objective of the regional branch, established at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, is to ensure proper care for stray animals, maintain sanitary and epidemiological stability, keep records of animals, organize their examination and treatment, and implement preventive as well as other veterinary and sanitary measures. The 2.5-hectare complex includes a modern veterinary clinic equipped with advanced medical equipment, dedicated observation and treatment units for animals, administrative and auxiliary buildings, as well as a quarantine facility. The newly established Center in Yevlakh will operate as a regional branch of the Stray Animal Care Center under the Baku City Executive Authority. An assessment of the current situation regarding stray animals across the regions highlighted the need to expand these initiatives to other cities and districts throughout the country. Yevlakh was selected as the location for the regional branch due to its strategic geographical position and its location at the intersection of major transportation routes connecting different regions of Azerbaijan. The new branch will enable a faster and more efficient response to reports and requests concerning stray animals from surrounding cities and districts.
