“Builders’ Week,” organized at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) on the occasion of April 10 — Builders’ Day, concluded with a series of events. Throughout the week, seminars, workshops, industrial excursions, intellectual competitions, and student contests were held, contributing to the development of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills of future civil engineers. Within the framework of the events, students became acquainted with the history and modern development trends of the construction industry and gained practical knowledge on актуal topics such as BIM technologies, concrete, and reinforcement works. At the same time, through organized visits to construction sites, they had the opportunity to closely observe real production environments. This plays an important role in strengthening university–industry cooperation. The competition titled “Designing engineering structures using pasta,” held during the week, served as a successful platform for students to demonstrate their engineering thinking, teamwork, and creativity. The winners were awarded cash prizes and gifts by AzUAC’s partner construction companies. As part of the event series, meetings with representatives of construction companies were also organized, providing students with detailed information about real job opportunities and career prospects. In addition, appreciation plaques were presented to the heads of SMTS LLC, “Kristal Baku” OJSC, “Məkan İnşaat” LLC, “Arsenal Construction and Engineering” LLC, “ArchiCO Engineering Company,” and “Hünər İnşaat” for their support in establishing individual scholarships for outstanding students for the fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. It should be noted that AzUAC is one of the leading higher education institutions in the country, combining traditions in civil engineering education and developing the field in line with modern challenges. The civil engineering program of the university has received international accreditation, which expands graduates’ opportunities to work as professional civil engineers not only locally but also in various countries around the world. Students of AzUAC are regularly involved in industrial internships through close cooperation with major construction companies, participate in real projects, and graduate as competitive professionals in the labor market. Today, one of the key priorities facing Azerbaijan is the implementation of large-scale construction and reconstruction works in the liberated territories. In this process, the role of professional civil engineers is of particular importance. AzUAC is one of the main educational institutions contributing to the training of highly qualified specialists in this strategic direction. The events held within the framework of “Builders’ Week” once again demonstrated that AzUAC is not only a higher education institution providing theoretical knowledge but also an important platform where future engineers are trained, their practical skills are developed, and their professional growth is ensured.
